About

Bio

I’m Andrea Collet, a visual communication and interaction designer from Treviso, Italy.

Education

In 2006 I achieved a bachelor in Arts with specialization in product and visual communication design at University of Venice IUAV. In the same University, in 2009, I got an MA in visual communication and interaction design, designing and developing a project about a multi-touch interface for graphic design software.

Special skills

  • knowledge about interaction design and usability theory;
  • I love doing brainstormings and I have good abilities for sketching ideas (see my gallery on flickr for examples);
  • excellent technical problem solver and fast pace worker even during critical situations;
  • good abilities on fast-prototyping;
  • good general knowledge about programming, expecially with ActionScript (Adobe Flash) and Processing languages;

Jobs

From 2005 to first half of 2009 I worked for many graphic design studios in my area, both in the graphic and web design field, and latter as ActionScript 3 developer. After the graduation I started my carreer as freelance interaction designer and developer.

Interests

I spend most of the time with my pc, making graphics editing, illustration, networking (look at my profiles on other networks), discover new applications and coding (or, better: learning to code). I used to make audiovisuals with AVS (examples on my page on Deviantart), and if I still try to find the time to maintain this passion I’m actually moving more to web-oriented programming environments or high-level IDE like VVVV.
Anything new and fun is in my interests.
I’m also fascinated by illustration, typography, printing crafts and serigraphy.

    Hi Yaniv, thanks for commenting, I’ve planned to fill the about and portfolio sections on the weekend. I want to discover how to use Issuu embedding options, because for the moment doesn’t seem to work very well on WordPress.
    Maybe you want to check the two new videos that I’ve uploaded about Usable Witchery workshop:

    Usable Witchery_Therema Prototype
    This is the presentation of the Therema prototype built by Francesco and Marco.

    Usable Witchery_Yaniv Steiner Card Game
    This is a video I made for fun, it’s you showing us some card games.

    See you and thanks again!
